Ingredients:

For the pattern:
▶ 6g Egg whites
▶ Red gel food coloring
▶ 6g Powdered sugar
▶ 6g Softened butter
▶ 6g All-purpose flour

For the cake:
▶ 5 Egg yolks
▶ 63g Vegetable oil
▶ 75g Milk
▶ 89g All-purpose flour
▶ 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
▶ 6g Matcha powder
Optional: Green gel food coloring

For the Meringue:
▶ 5 egg whites
▶ 85g caster sugar
▶ Red gel food coloring

For the Filling:
▶ 350ml Heavy cream
▶ 6g Matcha powder
▶ 70g Caster sugar

Instructions:

1. Prepare the pattern:

▶ Add egg whites, powdered sugar, softened butter, and all-purpose flour to the bowl and mix until smooth.
▶ Add red gel food coloring to achieve the desired color.
▶ Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip.
▶ Using a piping bag, pipe a heart-shaped design onto a baking dish.
▶ Set aside.

2. Make the cake batter:

▶ In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks, vegetable oil, milk, all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and matcha powder until well combined.
▶ If desired, add green gel food coloring for a vibrant hue.

3. Prepare the Meringue:

▶ In a separate clean bowl, whisk the egg until well.
▶ While beating, gradually add the caster sugar and beat until well combined.

▶ Arrange the heart-shaped cakes in a single layer on the prepared cake.
▶ Starting from one short end, gently roll the cake into a tight spiral, using the towel to help guide the roll.
▶ Trim the edges if desired, then transfer the rolled cake onto a serving platter.
